Headaches People Encounter When Buying a Sole F85 Treadmill
Different retailers will charge you different prices for this product, like any other. Unfortunately, this means a lot of people pay too much. One thing you can do to ensure you don’t overpay is to NOT buy from a brick and mortar store, who tend to mark the price up dramatically on their items because they have to pay for things online retailers don’t like rent, electricity, insurance, etc.
Secondly aside from the price, you need to be sure you’re buying from a place that offers a money back guarantee. This is very important as it’s possible the package could arrive damaged and a money back guarantee is the ONLY way to be able to either:
a) Get all your money back.
b) Get a new one as a replacement.
It’s not common, but it’s not impossible for things to be damaged during shipping, so you have to make sure and give yourself some protection.
Thirdly, the Sole F85 treadmill is HEAVY! The box and parts weigh over 300 pounds You absolutely have to buy it from a retailer that offers delivery inside your home. I can’t stress this enough. Delivery to your front door isn’t enough in this case. Also, make sure you have someone at home to help you move it, or be prepared to slip the delivery guys a few bucks to help you get it to the Sole F85 box to the spot where you plan to assemble it.
I chose to buy mine online because I could avoid sales tax, as well as avoid pressure from salespeople to buy extended warranties and other unnecessary products. I read quite a few reports online from people who were pressured from employees at a particular sporting goods chain (that starts with a D) to buy $200 warranties that literally overlapped the excellent ones from Sole.
The Sole F85 has a lifetime warranty on the major components, 5 years on electronics and 2 years on labor with in-home service! It’s not really necessary to buy more protection. If you’re concerned, you’d be wiser to put that $200 aside in a savings account for yourself instead of buying insurance for your Sole F85 treadmill you’ll probably never need.
Unlike some other sellers, Amazon will deliver it inside your house for free, which is one of the main reasons I recommend them, but I always like to shop with them first if I’m buying online. I don’t know if you’re like me, but I get scared giving out my credit card details to unfamiliar websites which could be scams or have poor encryption. I also like it that companies have to maintain a positive relationship with Amazon, so it puts a little extra bit of pressure on Sole to deliver good service to me.
